You think you know computers? Not as well as this person.
For instance, did you know that: "Every Hard drive has a unique IP address. An IP address is used by the internet so the governmnet can keep track of you. That way if someone is doing something illegal, such as hacking, the government or police can identify this person by their IP address, simmilar to a cars liscence plate." (sic)
She also discusses HDD Disk Drives (which, as far as I can tell, means "Hard Disk Drive Disk Drive").
I really like her disussion on the CPU, the Central Programming Unit (which is apparantly the same thing as a motherboard).
All that time wasted in my computer science classes.

Internet Grammar
After spending years reading forums, I've become sick of seeing the idiotic use of the English language, so here's a guide for those who write at a 1st grade level but are somehow able to drive a car:
"B" is not a word.
"4" is not a word. Subsequently, "B4" is not a word.
"ur" is not a word. It's the noise the third Budweiser frog makes.
"2" is not a word, it's your IQ.
The following sets of words are not interchangable:
"your/you're"
"there/their/they're"
"then/than"
Placing a "Z" at the end of a word does not make you cool. It might have been cool the first time it was done, but not the thousands (thousandz?) of times since.
I'll think of more later I'm sure.

Simpsons Words
This is the kind of thing you would never see in a traditional encyclopedia:
Made-up words in The Simpsons
There's a bunch I'd forgot about, and some classics like:

This is freakin' weird
Okay, so it's creepy, then it's strange, then it's creepy and strange, and yet, I cannot look away.
Rubber Johnny
It's a couple minutes long, so slow connections beware. It's definately worth checking out, I never should have watched this before my exam.

Giggidee Giggidee Giggidee Goo
Family Guy was awesome last night. That part where Chris gets pulled into the A-Ha video was brilliant.
The whole thing with Quagmire was great too. I love his theme song.

It's Over!
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!
It's time to do a happy dance.
And to top it all off, a brilliant quote from Don Cherry:
"After a year, I got so much to say I can hardly wait to hear myself."

Intelligent Advertising
So, I'm searching the web for a recipie for trail mix since I'm addicted to the stuff we have at work. And one of the brilliant "directed advertisements" google puts on their sidebar has the following advertisement:

It's people like this
that piss me off the most
Riot police clash with protestors
How long until the protestors claim that their "right to protest" was violated. I admit I'm not an expert in Scottish Law, but come on.

"Dozens of protesters broke away from the agreed route of the planned march and scaled one of the security fences installed along the edge of the site before being detained by police"These idiots give democracy a bad name.
"Scottish police at first called off the march because they said public safety could not be guaranteed after about 100 protesters smashed car windows and attacked police with stones, sending at least eight officers to hospital."

Why I Love Canada
I'm sitting here watching Live 8 right now, and it's been pretty good. The hosts came on stage and said they were about to go to Las Vegas, and immediately the crowd starts booing. The hosts tried to cover it up, but everyone knew what Las Vegas meant...Celine Dion. And that's when it hit me, one of the great things about this country is the fact that we speak our mind, even against our own. We're not afraid to say when something pisses us off. Why boo Dion? Well, maybe because miss "I don't want to lose any of my millions and millions of dollars by missing a Vegas show, so I'll just show a taped broadcast of one of my vegas shows, that way I don't have to lose any money" didn't feel like actually coming to Canada for the show. There are 2 or 3 artists I've seen on here already that have said they're double booked today with shows in other parts of North America, and they're flying out to those shows straight from here, but they still came.
She already has the sellout reputation, and this sure as hell didn't help her. Well, I'm going to go listen to some more music. Not long till OLP baby!
Oh, and not to be a shill, but sign the Live 8 List.
