Song to Memory Correlation

I've been noticing more and more recently that certain songs are conjuring up memories and images for me. Nothing exact or specific, just fleeting images...and a lot of them don't make sense. As an example, right now I'm listening to "Wipe That Smile Off Your Face" by OLP, a song that's essentially an anti-war ballad, and all I can think about is driving around with my arm hanging out the window on a warm summer day...why?

Good music always reminds me of summer driving.

They go together like green beer and St Patrick's Day :)

Man, what's with this fucking weather eh?

Green beer? What is this green beer you speak of? I have never heard of such a thing. Man was that a rough night/morning %}

You'd think after living in Windsor for so long we'd be used to it...it's supposed to be like 10 this time next week though. And just think, in a couple weeks we all get to lose an hour of sleep for daylight savings time ending...or beginning...whatever.

Lousy Smarch weather...

Love the counter.

Vacation rocks.

I think my supervisor is going to be a bit pissed with me... my fucking Image processing class has been eating my time (last course in C++ programming), so my thesis work has been suffering.

And then I'm taking vacation from May 5-17, and June 24-July 1.

Oh well :)

Bah, I'm going to be gone for 3 different weeks next summer. Vacation in June, wedding in August/September, and the meeting in Banff in May/June (though I don't really count that one because my thesis supervisor will be with me).

Wait a minute, vacation starts on the 24th? Are we going up on Saturday or Sunday?

Also, I meant to ask, what does image processing have to do with your thesis?

Nothing really...

There's not really many courses in the electrical engineering department directly related to controls; so I took a course that seemed interesting.
:) Don't want to leave many courses to take near the end of my studies too (only have 1 more to take now.)

Of course, it would be better in a way if it had more to do with my thesis.. oh well.

I could definately use a course or two in more advanced control theory -- that stuff is heavy on math, and I have a hard time learning it on my own (basically, because relatively abstract math is boring, at least to me :))
