They can make all the fancy DVD board games they want, but they'll never compare to this:

Go ahead, look the word up. I'll wait. I've got lots to keep me busy anyway: Grad school, writing, music, geomatics, programming, and a whole host of other things to occupy my...OOH look, a bird!

I remember playing that game, what a classic!
I wonder if they made a DVD version (the one I played was on tape.) Could be much more interactive.
Funny you should ask...the whole thing that got me thinking about the Nightmare games was that I saw an ad somewhere for a new DVD version (called Atmosfear, which is what the original game was called outside North America).
When you think of it, the old VHS one did wonders considering it was the same game every time. I remember getting near the end of the game and scrambling through everyone's turns just to hope that someone would win and beat "The Gatekeeper".
I was a little disappointed that I couldn't find a better Gatekeeper video though, that guy was awesome. I hope they got him for the new version.
I think the last time I played the game was the infamous "Alien Night" where Scott, me, and a few others took it upon ourselves to freak out the Cubs during a Scout camp at Cataraqui.
That was the most brilliant night ever, it was so well thought out and came off without a hitch. I bet some of those kids are still afraid of aliens...not that I'm proud of it or anything :)
